A chocolate sponge cake filled with a generous helping of fresh whipped cream with added melted chocolate (the filling alone was so good!) and topped with more melted chocolate, finished off with coloured sprinkles and Smarties on wires.
Thank you for your comment. Do you mean the wires coming out of the top? If so, I bought some from a cake shop and cut them to various sizes so the smarties were all at different heights.
I like the idea 😃. I've noticed the wires come in various thickness - 18, 20, 22, etc - just wondered which one you used that was strong enough to keep the smarties upright - ie not bending over. Was it easy to put the smarties on the wire?
